Welcome to The Roxy

Why not own a piece of history?

The Roxy Theater, located on 115 Mashell Avenue South in Eatonville Washington, was constructed in 1942. The history of this theater dates back  years earlier with the construction of Eatonville’s first theater in 1915 by Frank Van Eaton. That is when the original Roxy  opened its doors and offered what we now refer to as silent movies. Then in 1922 an Italian immigrant came to Eatonville. His name was Angelo Pecchia and he purchased The Roxy Theater.  It wasn’t until 1930 that films with sound became available!

In 1942 Angelo Pecchia built a new Roxy Theater  in town while closing the original location. This is where it currently resides to this day. The Roxy was just one theater that Mr. Pecchia operated through the years and like a lot of businesses at that time The Roxy experienced its own rough patches which involved temporarily closures and lagging business. Mr. and Mrs. Pecchia operated the theater until the late 1970s.

The theater has since received a number of wonderful upgrades in terms in seating, technology and overall ambiance. The current owners Dean & Mike have been operating this theater since 1996. The theater is perfect for its small town setting and is Digital Dolby with 7.1 surround sound. It offers a single large screen with upper deck and lower deck seating. The concessions stand is in the main lobby. The theater maintains its historical look and feel with all the comforts the modern movie goer could want! It has been and continues to be such a longstanding part of the community. Regular showings are Mondays through Fridays with Sundays being a matinee day!

Dean & Mike have put their love and care into this business for years and have made the decision to move onto the next big thing. The theater is now available for sale which includes the business and the property! View the video below and take a tour! See what history looks like!
